What is the process for Teeth in a Day in Glasgow?
Our knowledgeable team at The Dental Implant Centre in Glasgow work with patients from all over Scotland including those from Dumbarton and Paisley. The process begins with a free consultation.
Free consultation
At your free consultation we will assess your mouth and any teeth that you have.
We will then talk through what you would like to achieve and discuss your oral and general health in more detail.
We will take x-rays and possibly conduct a CT scan of your mouth and jaw. This helps us to better understand your oral health as well as informing us about the quality and quantity of your jawbone which is necessary to support dental implants.
Our team will then create an all-on-4 dental implant plan for you which will contain all the information that you need.
Dental implant surgery
Your dental implant surgery will take place at The Dental Implant Centre in Glasgow. We will make sure that you are comfortable before administering a local anaesthetic. This numbs the area in your mouth, but you will remain awake throughout the process.
If you have any teeth which are in bad condition, they will be gently extracted at this point.
4 dental implants are then placed to either in your upper or lower jaw. Finally, a temporary bridge containing your new prosthetic teeth is fitted. You can then leave the dental surgery with a lovely new smile and new teeth.
Healing period
We leave a period of between 2 and 6 months to allow your gums heal and more importantly to allow osseointegration to take place. This is where the dental implants fuse to your jawbones and is essential for the long-term success of your dental implants. We continue to monitor you and your dental implants during this time.
Meanwhile, the team at The Dental Implant Centre in Glasgow will create your personalised dental bridge which contains your final set of replacement teeth. These will have been carefully designed and colour-matched to our agreed specifications.
Fitting of your restoration
Once your dental implantologist is happy that osseointegration has occurred, you will be invited back to The Dental Implant Centre in Glasgow to have your permanent dental bridge containing your new teeth fitted.
Our team will then show you how to clean and care for your new teeth to enhance their longevity.
